Ageing of the skin depends on two factors, firstly, from genes and endogenous factors, and secondly, from exogenous factors (poor diet, stress, alcohol, smoking, sun exposure etc.). However, out of all of these, the most harmful is exposure to the sun, and for this reason, extrinsic ageing has been termed photoageing.

What is photoageing and how do we treat it?

Photoageing is a dermatological condition that has been making its appearance more often in recent years, as a result of the deterioration of the ozone layer in the atmosphere. It begins well before it becomes visible externally, and acts cumulatively over the years, causing our skin to age prematurely (rough skin, wrinkles, sagging skin, discolouration and red vessels). However, all of these problems can be reversed and eliminated with the appropriate aesthetic care and of course, with the help of specialists.

Natural anti-photoageing home therapy treatment

Step 1 – Moisturising and firming peeling with apricot oil and salt

Gently removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin feeling moisturised, firm and radiant.

  • 1 teaspoon of apricot oil
  • 1 level teaspoon of sea salt

Mix the ingredients together until they form a uniform mixture.

Gently massage the mixture on clean skin for 2 continuous minutes, avoiding the area around the eyes. Rinse off with plenty of warm water.

Step 2 – Lavender compress

Soothes the skin, opens the skin pores, and aids the better absorption of the nourishing ingredients contained in the mask.

  • 2 litres of water
  • 2 tablespoons of fresh or dry lavender

Put the lavender in hot water to allow it to release its fragrances. After a few minutes, remove the herb from the water.

Dip a cotton facecloth into the water and then wring it well. Place the hot towel on your face and leave it for 1 minute. Repeat this procedure at least three times.

Step 3 – Autumn anti-photoageing face mask with caviar (anti-ageing, radiance, whitening, hydration).

Have trust in the beneficial properties of caviar! It is one of the most powerful allies in the fight against photoageing.

  • 4 red caviar eggs
  • 1 teaspoon of olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon of avocado pulp
  • 7 drops of lemon juice
  • 5 drops of lavender essential oil

Mash the avocado in a blender and take 1 tablespoon of avocado pulp. Break the caviar eggs and add them to the mixture. Add the rest of the ingredients and mix them together until they become a uniform mixture.

Spread the mask on your face, avoiding the area around the eyes, and leave it on for 15-20 minutes. Rinse off with plenty of warm water.

Drink lots of water
