Question The vegetable-based sunscreens – My handmade beauty – which I will prepare for you, have a maximum powerful synergy and the finest quality ingredients, so as to provide you with maximum sun protection.
Answer

Natural Sunscreens
Many well-known plant oils contain filters that can provide protection against UVA and UVB rays. For instance, sesame oil, coconut oil, wheat germ oil, sunflower oil, carrot oil, and many other oils, with the most superior of course being olive oil which provides exceptional protection from the sun’s harmful rays. The least protection that any vegetable oil can have is sun protection factor (SPF) 7, although this number increases if there is a powerful synergy with other oils. Wild olive oil alone has a SPF 15 and is considered the strongest sunscreen oil, providing full protection against UVA and UVB rays. If we want to increase the sun protection factor of our natural sunscreen, we can add pure beeswax. This will create a sunscreen with an index level of SPF 25 – 30, which will provide us with very good protection against the sun, and excellent moisturising and skin nutrition.
Caution!
If you attempt to make your own natural sunscreens, you should be aware that the SPF levels are defined by the quality of the ingredients that you are going to use. Due to the fact that you need to be relatively experienced to distinguish good quality vegetable oils and waxes, always consider as the maximum protection level that your oil contains, to be the least natural indicator, that is to say, SPF 7. You should know that: The SPF index indicates the amount of time that the sunscreen can protect you and not its strength. In other words, each SPF 1 provides 15 minutes of protection. Therefore, you should always regularly re-apply your sunscreen.
