Dehydration is a lack of water in the skin cells due to several factors, such as, exposure to the sun, poor diet, and the consumption of alcohol etc.
Natural home therapy moisturising treatments
Step 1 – Moisturising peeling with rose oil, sugar and oregano
It gently removes dead skin cells, leaving the skin hydrated and with a velvety texture.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of rose oil (a rich moisturiser)
- 1 teaspoon of sugar (it draws moisture to the skin)
- ½ teaspoon of ground oregano (antiseptic)
Directions:
Slightly heat the rose oil, not more than 36°C, add the oregano, stirring it gently, and lastly, add the sugar.
Gently massage the mixture on clean skin, for 2-3 minutes, avoiding the area around the eyes. Rinse off with plenty of warm water.
Step 2 – Moisturising and nourishing face mask with butter, aloe vera and avocado oil
Give your skin all of the necessary ingredients it needs with this nourishing and hydrating face mask.
Ingredients:
- 1 tablespoon of butter (not the soft spreadable type), (nourishing, hydrating)
- ½ a teaspoon of avocado oil (hydrating, vitamins A, B, C, E, softener)
- 1 tablespoon of aloe vera gel (regeneration, soothing)
Directions:
First mix the butter with the avocado oil until they form a uniform mixture. Add the aloe vera and mix it well until it becomes a uniform consistency (all of the ingredients should be at room temperature).
Apply the mask to your face, neck and eyes (not on the upper eyelid, but apply it just up to the area below where your eyelashes finish). Allow the mask to work for 30 minutes. Then remove the mask with plenty of hot water, and apply your moisturising cream by lightly massaging.
